Sports timing includes a variety of challenges. For instance, a race may require large scale tag reading with multiple tags being read at the same time. Furthermore, adverse weather is always a possibility, and weather-proof equipment is necessary. The IPICO Sports Dual Frequency reader is designed to handle these challenges.
IPICO Sports Timing readers include the benefit of dual frequency technology which enables resistance to moisture interference and allows higher data reading, more accuracy in timing and avoidance of tag data loss. All of these key attributes make IPICO Sports Timing readers (as part of a sports timing system) essential for accuracy.
Remote operation is also essential; therefore each reader is powered by a standalone internal rechargeable battery with the facility for using external mobile 12v batteries as a back-up. The sports timing readers also contain a flash drive allowing storage of tag data. This essential race data may then be either accessed remotely through connecting the reader to a network, or uploaded to a computer via USB data stick. It is possible to connect multiple antenna mats at once, which allows for up to a 5 metre timing line. Both tags and readers are optimised to work together, bringing you ultimate sports timing performance.
- Dual frequency technology lowers or eliminates loss of signal and collision of tags
- IPICO Sports Timing readers are compliant with USA/Europe/Australia and RSA spectrum allocations
- Are easy to use with a simple ON/OFF switch
- Run from a real time clock
- May read as many as 120 tags at the same time
- Include tag read and status indicators to ensure functioning. A battery management circuit also includes a low voltage/incorrect input and a charge level indicator.
- The sports timing Antenna Mat tunes automatically if there is a need to tune out environmental influences
- May store over 400,000 tag reads
- Includes an internal flash drive and Ethernet port for computer connection
