The TI Group is also proud to be the chosen IT provider for The 2009 Flora London Marathon. As an IT provider we project manage, design, test and implement the IT infrastructure needs, for all internal and race day systems leading up to and during the event. This includes the systems that time all 38,000 runners around the course, the information systems used by the press as well as data feeds that go out to the BBC and other television broadcasters.
So what do we do differently?
- Our account managers are technically qualified as opposed to commission motivated sales people. This is because we feel that the client is better served by knowledgeable account managers and staff retention is greater with technical staff.
- Our offices are open between 8am to 10pm 7 days a week to process orders and deal with IT related queries.
- TI technicians will DOA check all hardware before shipping to end-user and install any additional components purchased with servers i.e. hard disks, memory and raid controllers. We will also configure a hardware- level raid if required by the client. All this is a value added service which will not be charged to the client.
- Clients have direct access to one of the TI Group directors to ensure consistency within the account.
- We always keep the customer informed. Calls and Emails are made and sent between the hours of 2pm and 4pm to confirm receipt of delivery from orders processed the previous day. This enables us to turn around problems straight away.
- The TI Group utilise a £100 million state of the art warehouse/ logistics facility for stock holding and configuration. By facilitating this virtual space we do not need to invest in expensive warehousing and logistics staff, keeping our overheads very low. In turn this allows us to provide competitive pricing to our clients.
- Monthly breakfast and lunch briefings are held for IT teams to chat with manufacturers regarding new technologies and brainstorm with other IT teams from various companies regarding their infrastructure on an informal basis.
